World Tree Cake
What You'll Need for the Cake:
- 9x13 sheet cake (already baked and cooled)
- 2 cups white frosting
- green food coloring
- chocolate syrup
- World Tree cake template (available as a PDF)
- wax paper
- sprinkles (optional)
How to Make It:
- Print out the two pieces of the World Tree template. Tape them together, and trace the image on a piece of wax paper. Cut around the edges so you now have a piece of wax paper that is shaped like the World Tree.
- Lay the wax paper on top of the sheet cake and cut around the outside so that your cake is in the shape of the World Tree. (Save the extra pieces of cake - you'll need one for the trunk.)
- Put a few tablespoons of the frosting in a small bowl. Mix it with enough chocolate syrup to turn it brown. This will be the frosting for your trunk.
- Combine the rest of the frosting with a few drops of green food coloring in a bowl and mix well.
- Frost the "tree" with the green frosting. Decorate with sprinkles as desired.
- Cut a rectangular piece of the leftover cake for the World Tree's "trunk." Use a dab of frosting to attach it to the bottom of the World Tree. Then frost the rest of it with the brown frosting.
Fun Fact!
Trees are really important. They clean the air by removing poisons from it that are harmful for humans to breathe!
