Car Talk

Traveling with young children can be a challenge for any parent. Often it is a time of squabbling, and in the car, children can squabble about anything: "He’s touching my car seat." "She's singing again." And there's always the common refrain: "Are we there yet?" In response, many parents have become collectors of sorts—collectors of car activities that they've refined over the years as their children develop new skills and interests.

This age-customized collection of car activities can encourage your children to share what they notice and wonder about, while helping them to develop their abilities as readers and writers.
