Children's Choice

When children read and talk about books, they develop important language skills and understandings about books and print that help them become strong readers and writers. By reading and talking about books with children, parents learn more about what their children love, what scares them, what they wonder about, and what tickles their funny bone. At the same time, parents gain an appreciation for what their children have learned about reading and about the world.

In this article, you will meet many different children, discover what books they like most and why, and find out what their parents learn through their children's book choices. You'll also get a glimpse of the artwork that children's favorite books have inspired.
