Meet the Characters

Izzie

Izzie is a friendly tween-age every girl, juggling the demands of school, family, friends and sports—and not always successfully! When she finds herself in a jam that only science can fix, Izzie magically transports herself into the website to get some help. Ultimately, real SciGirls help Izzie solve her own problems, answering her call: “SciGirls, I need you!”

Jake

Jake is Izzie’s best friend and co-conspirator as she navigates the obstacle-course of middle school. Izzie’s friend since preschool, Jake gets involved in her madcap adventures—for better or worse! And whether sitting on Izzie’s front stoop, checking in at school or connecting by web camera, the two manage to muddle through, learning some intriguing science along the way.

Fang

Fang is Jake’s “little dude,” his faithful mouse companion who helps everyone learn interesting things like, the perfect habitat, how to capture a mouse on film and how to get in shape. Fang will even help you out when you’re trying to grow your hair really long.
