For ages 6 to 10.
Series Goals
- Introduce children to science and the world of scientific inquiry
- Have fun while learning problem-solving skills and teamwork
- Demonstrate that the value of an experience isn't just determined by winning or losing, but by what happens along the way
Funded in large part by the National Science Foundation, the series focuses on real world science, following six young contestants as they pursue questions, conduct experiments, and actively investigate the world around them. The program’s primary science themes are animals, air and space, and invention. Viewers will get a chance to play along with the show, even after the TV is turned off, through an extensive outreach initiative that will sponsor individual and group challenges at science museums and after-school programs around the country.
Helping Kids in School
The series encourages children to pursue questions they encounter, conduct experiments, and actively investigate the world around them. These problem-solving skills are an essential component of school success.
