Series Goals
- To promote preschool children's understanding of animal customs and behaviors.
- To encourage preschool children to think about their own customs and practices and how their experiences compare to those of the animals.
- To introduce preschool children to a variety of animals and enhance their ability to talk about these animals.
- To motivate preschool children to appreciate and respect animals and animal life.
Mama Mirabelle's Home Movies is based on the questions and concerns that are common to preschoolers. These issues are turned into stories with problems and resolutions, offering new insights into the needs and habits of wild creatures. The series also showcases original African and world-inspired music, including songs performed by Vanessa Williams. Ms. Williams is also the voice of Mama Mirabelle.
Helping Kids Prepare for School
As Mama Mirabelle teaches her animal friends about the world in which they live, preschool children will develop a better understanding of the world in which they live. As a result, preschoolers will be introduced to new ideas and vocabulary, thereby enhancing their literacy skills.
