Stereotypes in children's media

I am doing a power point presentation in two days on stereotypes in children's media. I am using Madagascar Escape 2 Africa, as an example of stereotypes; in gender, ethnicity, sexuality and laguage. This topic I feel is very wide and I need some supporting facts on my opinion on why this movie is inappropriate for children to watch.
I suggested that P.B.S was a better alternative and a classmate said what 12 year old or adult would enjoy watching P.B.S and I am at this point up in the air about where do I go from here as far as having supporting facts that P.B.S is a much better show that all age groups can enjoy and learn something from. Please help me a student and parent who has a 2 year old.
