PBS shows

I grew up watching PBS shows, Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers and Electric Company. Now, my 3 year old son enjoys watching Sesame Street, Curious George, and Super Why.

It is great to see how PBS shows incorporate different languages while appealing to the preschool crowd.

I hope that Sesame Street, Curious George and Super Why are available in different languages on TV and DVD so kids can be exposed to languages while learning different skills.

“...individuals who have command of more than one language gain specific cognitive advantages-creativity, problem solving, and perceptiutal disembedding, as well as cognitive flexibility”–p.137 The Latino Education Crisis-Gandara & Contreras.

PBS, keep up the great work!!
