Fred Rogers Memorial Service
A Special PBS Program Club Selection

Celebrate the life of beloved children's television host Fred Rogers during a public memorial service broadcast live on Saturday May 3rd from downtown Pittsburgh, PA. The 90-minute service will be led by the Reverend Dr. William Baker, a retired Presbyterian minister and close personal friend of Fred Rogers, who appeared on many episodes of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood over the years. Speakers will include family members as well as clergy, colleagues, and friends who have had a long-time association with Fred Rogers. Fred Rogers died February 27, 2003 after a brief battle with stomach cancer. His legacy lives on as Mister Rogers' Neighborhood continues on PBS.
