Jasmine Dellal (2000)
It is one man's obsessive pursuit of justice and dignity that led filmmaker Jasmine Dellal into the hidden thousand-year-old culture of the Romani people. In this 2000 interview, Dellal discusses the making of the film American Gypsy: A Stranger in Everybody's Land. She describes what it was like to gain access to a community which typically closes itself off from outsiders, and what she learned about the Romani lifestyle through this work.
