Melba Williams

Melba Williams, Director

Melba Williams is a filmmaker from Nashville whose work has been noted for it's unique approach to storytelling. Her short films have been shown at various festivals, including Sundance. She co-produced the IFP Gordon Parks awarded short, Whispers, which appeared on HBO channels. A Thousand Words won the 2004 Jury Award for Best Short at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival. She holds a BA in Communications from Howard University and received her MA from the Documentary Film and Video program at Stanford University. She works in Nashville as a freelance producer.
