Filmmaker Interviews

Kieran Fitzgerald

Filmmaker Kieran Fitzgerald talks about his film, which tells the story of 18-year-old Esequiel Hernández, who lived on the Americans side of the Texas-Mexico border. Mistaken for a drug runner, Esequiel was killed by U.S. Marines in 1997. Fitzgerald talks about what we can learn from Esequiel's story and about the communities that live along the border.
