by |

This year the 59th Flaherty Seminar, “History is What’s Happening,” programmed by Pablo de Ocampo, will run June 15 – 21, 2013 at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. The seminar will explore the frame and subject of history in cinema to understand the social and political conditions of the past and their role in the present.

The Robert Flaherty Film Seminar Fellowship Program provides fellowships to attend the seminar to graduate students, emerging and mid-career filmmakers, and media professionals. In addition to the seminar, Flaherty fellows participate in private meetings, converse with artists and special guests, and receive mentorship. There are four different types of fellowships available this year:

  • Professional Development Fellowships
  • Graduate Student Fellowships
  • LEF New England Fellowships
  • Philadelphia Fellows

For more details and eligibility requirements visit the Flaherty site.

The deadline to apply is March 1, 2013.
