POV Hackathon 4 takes place this weekend (July 27-28, 2013) in New York City, and there are two ways you get a front-row seat to this melding of storytelling and technology minds.

First, we have a couple of last-minute slots open for a designer and a developer experienced with HTML5, JavaScript, Popcorn and/or online video. If you want to become a last-minute participant, contact us at hackathon at pov dot org for more information.

Second, a limited number of seats are remaining for the POV Hackathon 4 final screening at 7 PM on Sunday July 28, 2013 at Huge (45 Main Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201). If you’re interested in attending, you must RSVP to request a ticket by 5 PM ET Friday, July 26, 2013. Email hackathon at pov dot org with the subject line “POV Hackathon 4 Tickets.” Include your name, email and phone number. Confirmations will be sent by email.

POV Hackathon is a unique opportunity to meet and work with storytellers and technologists at the forefront of non-fiction media. Over a single weekend of intense collaboration, teams are challenged to create prototypes that “re-invent the documentary for the web” and then present those prototypes to a public audience. Check out team interviews, demo videos and 3 AM tweets from POV Hackathon 3 in the social media recap below:
