An exciting POV weekend is coming up in Brooklyn on September 28 and 29th, when POV holds a sneak-preview of PBS Indie Showcase film Brooklyn Castle at the Brooklyn Museum, and presents the Brooklyn premiere of Listening is an Act of Love: A StoryCorps Special as part of the DUMBO Arts Festival. Saturday, September 28th
at 2PM

Join us at Brooklyn Museum for a sneak-preview screening of Brooklyn Castle, followed by a Q&A with the students featured in film and a chance
to play chess!

Brooklyn Castle tells the exhilarating story of the chess team at Brooklyn’s
I.S. 318 ­- a public school serving
mostly minority students from families living below the poverty line – where
the chess team has won more than
30 national championships, the most
of any school in the country.

The event is free with museum admission.

A StoryCorps Special

Join us at the DUMBO Arts Festival for Listening is an Act
of Love: A StoryCorps Special
 by
The Rauch Brothers. This 30-minute animated special celebrates the transformative power of listening with
six stories.

A special panel conversation ‘The
Power of Listening: A Conversation with StoryCorps, The Rauch Brothers,
and POV
‘ will follow the 2 PM screening.

The screenings and panel will take place in the POV Screening Room on the 9th Floor of 20 Jay Street in Brooklyn.
