Watch 56 Up on PBS on Monday, October 14th at 10 p.m. (check local listings), or while it’s streaming online for free through November 14th, and enter our Premiere Party giveaway for a chance to win the 56 Up and StoryCorps Special DVDs!

You can enter the giveaway before or after you watch the film — just fill out the entry form here.

Premiere Parties can be big or small, fancy or casual.  Here are some Brooklyn Castle Premiere Party plans from POV viewers:

  • “Keeping it simple. Inviting a couple of folks my age — just younger than the 56+ crowd. Love watching how others navigate life. ”
  • “We will have 8-10 women who may or may not have seen the “Up” films (I have the DVDs). We are going to discuss whether we are surprised by the way things are turning out. There will be food and wine.”
  • “I work at a health food store and have a large family. I plan on inviting as many people as would want to come. I will provide beverages and some food, maybe a potluck style event. I used to watch these films before I moved and since I moved I haven’t seen any. I would really appreciate the opportunity to view these films again and be able to share the experience with others.”

Premiere Party winners will also receive organic popcorn from Quinn Popcorn, Fair-Trade and organic dark chocolate from Divine Chocolate and Fair-Trade, organic and shade-grown coffee from Grounds for Change, plus a POV reusable tote bag.

ALL entries will also be eligible for the Grand Prize!

I have watched this series from the beginning, when I was a 19-yr old Londoner, and every episode since (most here in the U.S.) It’s still compelling and I hope it continues in the future! Thank you, POV!
