Getting Back to Abnormal Premiere Party at d.b.a. Brooklyn

by |

POV and filmmakers Louis Alvarez, Andrew Kolker, and Peter Odabashian had a great time celebrating the PBS national broadcast of  Getting Back to Abnormal on Monday July 14th at d.b.a Brooklyn. The sister establishment of d.b.a. New Orleans was packed with guests enjoying Happy Hour and watching the film together.

POV sends a big thank you to d.b.a Brooklyn for providing a great space for film fans to get together and enjoy the premiere of Getting Back to Abnormal.

Want to host your own Premiere Party? POV’s 27th season on PBS has begun and as such, we’re once again inviting viewers to host their own “premiere parties” to watch and discuss the eye-opening new films with friends and family.

What does a premiere party look like to you? It could be 100 of your “closest friends” gathered at a school or community center–or just your family talking about the film in your living room. No red carpet or adoring fans required (unless you want them). All you need to do is watch the PBS national broadcast premiere of one of the films from POV’s 27th season on your television or laptop.

Share your story with POV and enter for a chance to win our POV Party Pack. The winners will receive a DVD of the film, two additional signed DVDs and/or posters from POV season 27 films, a POV reusable tote bag, organic popcorn from Newman’s Own Organics, Direct-Trade and organic dark chocolate from Taza Chocolate and Fair-Trade, organic and shade-grown coffee from Grounds for Change.

You can enter the giveaway before or after you watch the film — just fill out the entry form here.  Check out the list of POV Season 27 films below:
