This spring, the Brooklyn Public Library is hosting a series of events around Herman's House. On April 16th at 7pm, join the library for a free screening of Herman's House, followed by a Q&A with director Angad Singh Bhalla. The library will also host a full exhibition of Jackie Summell's "The House That Herman Built" from April 16th-June 5th. The exhibit will feature a model of Herman's dream house, a life-size 6x9 foot solitary confinement cell, books from Herman's reading list, blueprints of his dream house, and original letters between Sumell and Wallace. There will also be a number of panel discussions in May on the criminal justice system in New York and the effects of long-term prison sentences and solitary confinement.
