Nancy Kates and Sam Pollard (2003)
Brother Outsider: The Life of Bayard Rustin takes a look into a little known man who was the primary force behind the famous March on Washington and who spoke to Dr. Martin Luther King about the effectiveness of non-violent dissent. In this 2003 interview, filmmaker Nancy Kates and executive producer Sam Pollard hope to reveal the influence which Rustin had on the civil rights movement, as well as explain why they believe he is not a household name today.
