In this excerpt from the 2004 BBC documentary Your Life in Their Hands, physician Henry Marsh performs surgery to remove a life-threatening tumor from patient Adrian Theobold's brain. Because the tumor is very close to the region of the brain that controls speech, Theobold is asked to speak continuously so that Marsh and the other doctors will be able to gauge their progress.
