Filmmaker Interviews

Frederick Wiseman (2001)

Want to remember high school? Director Frederick Wiseman talks about his 1968 documentary High School saying that he does not like to focus on a particular character, but rather make films that focus on a place. Never asking anyone to do anything special for the camera, he made a series of films about contemporary American life, of which High School became a true marker of the times as well as how people pass on education.
