Geri Purcell, a Native American fireworks vendor explains in "Boomtown" that she has inherited land from her grandfather, Two Guns Whitecalf (pictured). Geri says that her grandfather was the model for the Indian Head Nickel. Geri also talks about the culture, language and traditions she has inherited from her elders. "I want to carry on my culture with my children and with my grandchildren," she explains. The Blackfeet language, tribal history and a knowledge of the land are all things she wants to pass down to her children, as they were passed on to her.

What have you inherited from your family? It can be a simple heirloom, a framed photograph or even a favorite memory.
