POV Awards Grants to PBS Stations to Support Community Engagement Activities For "The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers"

New York, NY - March 3, 2011 American Documentary | POV has awarded seven grants totaling 50,000 to public television stations to support local programming and community activities around the Oscar®-nominated film The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers in 2011, the 40th anniversary of the publication of the Pentagon Papers. These grants represent the second phase of POV's national campaign to engage the public in a dialogue about issues the film addresses, from government transparency and national security to the role of whistle blowers and the press in a free society. Funding for the campaign is provided by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
