Andrew has a unique view on the war. He's embedded 11x in Afghanistan and Iraq, along with shorter trips to Haiti, GTMO and Beirut. He is also the father of a Marine with multiple deployments. Andrew wrote "Charlie Battery; A Marine Artillery Battery in Iraq", the award-winning (2007 Gold Medal, Military Writers Society of America) story of his son Philip and his fellow Marines of Charlie Battery, 1st Bn, 10th Marines fighting in the opening days of the Iraq invasion.
