Rajiv Srinivasan recently finished a 12-month tour in Kandahar, Afghanistan, where he served as a platoon leader responsible for the training and mission readiness of 25 soldiers. Rajiv also co-founded www.BeyondOrders.org, a non-profit organization that connects soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan with non-profits in the U.S. to help meet the needs of the Iraqi and Afghani people. He is a board member of www.MyVetwork.org, a non-profit that seeks to connect U.S. Service members and their families with employers and veterans service organizations. Rajiv is a graduate of West Point, where he received a degree in Arabic and Comparative Politics. Rajiv started his Thoughts from Afghanistan blog as a way to chronicle his time there.
