Standing Silent Nation filmmakers Suree Towfighnia and Courtney Hermann set out to make a film about industrial hemp before they met the White Plume Family. The plight of the White Plumes and their compelling court case became the subject of the final version of the film, but this additional clip, from an early trailer of Standing Silent Nation, offers a history of hemp production in America.
