Filmmaker Statement

Alan BerlinerEvery film I make begins as an inquiry, a process, a series of questions that need to be asked, a set of fascinations that won't go away — all fueled by my unyielding passion to transform my own personal quest into universally resonant experience; into a film that asks the audience to reexamine critical aspects of their own lives.

When all is said and done, I want to challenge viewers to see the medium of television as both a window — through which to look out and learn about others, and as a mirror — daring them to constructively see themselves, and, if need be, make some adjustments upon the image they behold.
