CPB/PBS Producers Academy

CPB and PBS are pleased to announce that twenty-five filmmakers have been chosen to attend the CPB/PBS Producers Academy to be held at WGBH in Boston, March 30 – April 5, 2013.  The goal of the Producers Academy is to engage a new talented pool of diverse producers in public broadcasting.

Producers were chosen based on their work experience, professional goals, video presentations, current production projects, and recommendations from industry professionals.

The Producers Academy covers a range of production skills and draws on the expertise that has made PBS a recognized force on the American cultural landscape.  The CPB/PBS Producers Academy is open to public broadcasting station staff producers and independent filmmakers who are involved in or wish to work in public media.  Recipients’ travel and other designated expenses will be covered by the Academy.
