Comparable to Other Networks
PBS is virtually tied with two commercial networks in
terms of the core number of people who report watching
it frequently. While NBC stands at 39%, with Fox next at
35%, closely grouped are ABC (33%), CBS (32%), and
PBS (31%) .
When those who say they watch PBS occasionally are
combined with the frequent viewers, PBS viewership
rises to 70%, placing it slightly behind the commercial
networks, except for Fox (68%).
One in five people say they listen to NPR frequently, and
almost one-quarter (22%) report listening occasionally.
