basic mission, the survey focused on various

issues relevant
to an informed American society.

Americans rate all of the issues asked

about in the
survey as being “very” important.
From

|
|
improving
literacy (88%) and being informed about health
|
|
issues (86%) on
the high end to being informed of
|
|
|
America’s ethnic
and cultural diversity (51%) at the low
|
|
|
end, all seven
issues asked about were seen as very
|
|
|
important by a
majority of the public.
