NATIONAL SCIENCE STANDARDS (Grades 5-8)

Science as Inquiry- Content Standard A
Students will learn to think critically and logically, to make relationships between  evidence and explanations by reviewing data from a simple experiment, summarizing  the data, and forming a logical argument about the cause and effect relationships in  the experiment.
Physical Science - Content Standard B
Students will gain an understanding of the properties and changes of properties in  matter by observing the diffusion and separation of mixtures and relating their  behavior to the differing properties of their components.
Students will work with motion and forces and transfer of energy standards in setting  up an electric circuit, which will influence the material separation, they are  undertaking.
