Science as Inquiry- Content Standard A

Students will learn to formulate questions, design an investigation, execute this investigation, interpret the data and use the evidence to generate explanations.

Students will analyze the relationship between the mass of a vibrating object and pitch.

Students will use observation to develop inferences.

Life Science - Content Standard C

Students will gain familiarity of structure and function in living systems by studying the anatomy of the human ear.

Students will explore the structure and function of a specialized group of cells used for hearing.

Physical Science - Content Standard B

Students will further their understanding of the interactions of energy and matter by studying the transfer of energy between sound waves and the specialized tissue in the human ear.
