Take care washing your car
Why should I do this?
Washing your car in the driveway allows soap and other chemicals to run into storm sewers that empty into streams, rivers and eventually the oceans.
For more information on why this issue is a problem, see the Troubled Waters information on this website.
How can I do this?
Washing you car on the lawn will allow the water to soak into the grass and soil — reducing the pollution of our waterways. Use non-toxic cleaners whenever possible. To learn more, check out
