Install a programmable thermostat in your home

It just doesn't make sense to waste energy. Unnecessary burning of fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas, contributes to greenhouse gases and costs you money. The Environmental Protection Agency says you can save upwards of $100 per year by installing a programmable thermostat that automatically adjusts your home's temperature settings while you are asleep or away.

For more information on issues like this, see the One Degree Factor information on this website.

How can I do this?

Programmable thermostats are available at hardware and home improvement stores, as well as on-line. Learn more by visiting the EPA's Energy Star website Off-site Link.
