The Capstone Program:
- Tech 401 Capstone Introduction: Planning a Technology Portfolio
- This course is a prerequisite for anyone interested in pursuing the Capstone Certification program, and is perfect for educational innovators who are excited about digital technology. Through readings, examination of their own teaching practices and the ISTE NETS•T, and exploration of available technologies, learners will increase their understanding of, and comfort with, the NETS•T and their practical applications in the classroom. Learners will develop two plans, one focused on the teacher as the primary user of technology, the other on students' use of technology. Learners must successfully complete this course before moving on to Capstone 1.
- Tech 410: Teaching with Technology
- The emphasis of this 15-week facilitated course is on teachers as primary users of technology to promote and improve student learning. Deepen your thinking about effective teaching with technology. Create online exhibits featuring lessons or projects that exemplify effective teacher use of technology to promote student learning and demonstrate proficiency in the ISTE NETS•T. Capstone I is a prerequisite for enrollment in Capstone II.
