A topic immersion course on Teaching High School Physical Science
Explore techniques for assessing what students know before, during, and after a lesson and discover how the knowledge students bring with them to a lesson affect their learning. Uncover specific teaching strategies that can help determine what your students understand about chemical reactions, atomic bonding, and other topics.

Note: The content of this topic immersion course is drawn from our full survey course Teaching High School Physical Science (SCIE550). When planning their professional development, learners should select either the full survey course or choose one or more of the topic immersion component courses.

Note: This is a facilitated course. Learners submit coursework and participate in asynchronous discussions throughout the course term, and receive graded feedback.
