Teaching with Primary Sources from the Library of Congress

Course Section Description:

Foster student engagement, build critical-thinking skills, enhance knowledge construction, and bring learning to life through the thoughtful and creative integration of primary source documents into your 3-12 curriculum. You will learn how to:

• Find and use digitized primary sources housed in the Library of Congress for instruction

• Master strategies for developing historical thinking and inquiry-based learning in students

• Design and implement lessons and assignments that incorporate primary sources and help students learn to analyze them
