The lesson plan I really took interest in was the Cyberbullying: Effects on Teens Across the Nation. Places like myspace and facebook can be problem areas. I call them problem areas because people can harass you or make fun of you. Write you mean messages, make posts about you that everyone can see. Bullying like this is most times undetected by schools. It would be too much to expect administration to monitor a students private life. Technology that was invented for keeping in touch with family or friends long distance and a page of self expression also has become a target site for harassment. Students need to be aware of what they are posting and know the consequences for bullying, also that it is a subject that cannot be taken as lightly as in the past. Suicide rates are going up with this Cyberbullying, someone needs to take a stand.
