In schools today I feel that students are really forced to use their imagination. It has become all about teaching the state issued tests. I feel it is important for teachers to really focus on both the state issued test but also to focus on teaching students to use their imagination in a creative and productive way. creating their own storybook with their location of choice makes them think outside the box. they could create monsters never heard of and go into detail of how the monster makes the story spooky and what they do.

Teachers could implement some Web 2.0 resources by having students use a digital flip book or graphic organizer. Another great way to share a picture and descriptive words is to have the students use a drawing program that also allows you to add text. What a neat lesson for October or any month/theme!
