These games are very age appropriate. A lot of kids like to sing and dance and this creates a way for them sing-a-long with the characters in as simple of songs as the "A.B.C's". This could also be used in the special education classrooms for those students that are still needing assistance with their alphabet and reading. the characters sing the words as they are highlighted just as the students should therefore giving instruction to the students participating.
