My Classroom Innovation

I am an innovative educator because I have incorporated the use of VoiceThread into my history class when we studied World Religions. This engaged the students and let them make connections they never previously made. (I am the only person in my high school doing this kind of work at the moment.)

How Students were Engaged

My students loved using VoiceThread! It was a new way of documenting their thinking as they learned about each religion, and then they were able to comment on one another's insights by leaving text or voice messages. They extended their learning beyond what would have been possible in an ordinary assessment like a test.
