A Fresh Look at Teaching The Diary of Anne Frank

On Wednesday, April 7 at 8 p.m. EDT, we will host a webinar entitled, "A Fresh Look at Teaching The Diary of Anne Frank." Webinar participants will get a sneak peek at the all-new adaptation airing on Masterpiece and review educator materials created for middle school and high school. These materials include a teacher’s guide created in collaboration with the Holocaust education organization Facing History & Ourselves and special Resources for Youth, which offer concrete ways to take action against issues of intolerance as well as encourage self-expression through digital journaling options.

Webinar Co-Moderator: Steve Hargadon, Founder of Classroom 2.0
Steve Hargadon is the director of the K12 Open Technologies Initiative at the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN), and the founder of the Classroom 2.0 social network (www.classroom20.com). He blogs, speaks, and consults on educational technology, and is particularly passionate about Web 2.0, social networking, Free and Open Source Software, computer reuse, and computing for low-income populations. He runs the Open Source Pavilion and speaker series for the NECC and CUE shows, is the organizer of EduBloggerCon, and holds a series of free workshops around the country (Classroom 2.0 LIVE) to help educators learn about the educational uses of the participative aspect of the Web.
