Overview
Wild Kratts joins the adventures of Chris and Martin Kratt as they encounter incredible wild animals, combining science education with fun and adventure as the duo travels to animal habitats around the globe. Each adventure explores an age-appropriate science concept central to an animal's life and showcases a rarely-before-seen wildlife moment, all wrapped up in engaging stories of adventure, mystery, rescue, and the Kratt brothers' brand of laugh-out-loud-comedy that kids love.
Educationally speaking, Wild Kratts is all about discovering and exploring animals, science, and the natural world. We believe Animals Can Take You Anywhere in Science. That's because no matter what science concept you can think of, there is an animal out there who relies upon or make use of that concept in their daily lives – often in incredible, eye-popping ways! For example, Draco lizards use the physics of gliding to get from tree to tree and electric eels use a natural electric current to stun their prey! Kids love animals and we hope that our series and our approach to teaching science will be helpful in your classroom. We've selected video clips that reinforce key science concepts, beginning with Senses and Life Cycles. You'll also find classroom lesson plans that expand on these ideas and encourage students to explore science in the natural world around them!
