"I'd get so sick when I was going into combat I'd, until that first shot was fired, why I thought I was, my stomach was going to turn inside out or something, but when the first shots went, all that goes away. Then you know what you have to do. And you have to uh, of course, when you hear it, you know it's missed you. So you go into your defensive position or whatever you do, and you forget all about worrying about dying, you're worrying about living." |
