Barbara Covington: Patriotism
There was wonderful patriotism and people willing to fight.
Interview outtakes from THE WAR:
"So all we really knew was that someone had invaded our territory, and we were now in there fighting for our, for our own, you know, well-being and freedom. People were patriotic, very patriotic, and very much willing to go. You didnít hear from any segment, no matter what race, thinking about 'Well I donít want to go because, you know, itís not my problem,' or 'Iím not too happy anyway,' was just the wonderful patriotism that you - usually America comes through when they have to anyway."
