Pilar Placone, Ph.D

Pilar M. Placone, Ph.D. is a licensed marriage and family therapist whose twenty-year practice is dedicated to bringing clients a renewed sense of hope and fulfillment. In her work, she assists parents and their children develop mature, optimal relationships, within the context of a busy family life. Dr. Placone founded the Mindful Parent Happy Child programs in order to provide a more holistic and comprehensive set of behavioral tools for both parents and therapists. Her approach draws upon a number of different healing modalities, including classical and modern psychology, interpersonal neurobiology, and Eastern meditative practices. She is a member of the Interpersonal Neurobiology seminar group, which is facilitated by Dr. Dan Siegel, author of The Developing Mind, Parenting from the inside Out, and Mindsight.
