This Old House
America's Premier Home Improvement Series on Television
The Emmy Award winning This Old House is television's premier home improvement series. The show that unlocked America's passion for home, celebrates its 29th season on PBS this year.
This Old House's mission is to demystify the home improvement process and to celebrate the fusion of old world craftsmanship and modern technology. Each season features two renovation projects. Project One traditionally consists of eighteen or so episodes and is filmed in Massachusetts. Project Two is taped in a different region of the country to highlight the variety of American architectural styles and renovation issues. Additionally, the second project is generally located in a town with a mild climate where outdoor work can be undertaken in the winter months.
New episodes of This Old House are broadcast exclusively on PBS.
Ask This Old House
We take on some pretty big projects at This Old House, which means we can only work on one or two houses a year. But homeowners have a virtual truckload of questions for us on smaller projects, and we're ready to answer. Ask This Old House, now in its seventh season, solves the steady stream of home improvement problems faced by our viewers — and we make House calls! Ask This Old House features some familiar faces, including Kevin O'Connor, general contractor Tom Silva, plumbing and heating expert Richard Trethewey, and landscape contractor Roger Cook.
