A proposed ordinance that would consolidate the current San Antonio anti discrimination code is drawing fire. Council Member Diego Bernal wants to include newly adopted protected classes based on sexual orientation and gender identity. Critics say the proposal would ban individuals who have expressed disapproval of homosexuality from serving in city government positions.
