Opera Theatre of St. Louis fans heard the first public performance of an aria that is part of a new opera being written titled “Twenty Seven” by composer Ricky Ian Gordon. Twenty Seven stands for the Paris address of writer Gertrude Stein: 27 Rue des Fleurs. The opera will debut during Opera Theatre’s 2014 season. Profile by producer Ruth Ezell.
