Orchestra of Exiles
This is the story of the great Jewish violinist Bronislaw Huberman, who, in 1936, was able to move some of the best Jewish musicians from Europe to Palestine to found what would become the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Huberman’s efforts ultimately rescued 1,000 Jews from the Holocaust. Featuring commentary by musical greats including Itzhak Perlman, Zubin Mehta, Pinchas Zukerman and Joshua Bell.
